Let's Get KAYA!

Since so many like my kaya post, here i would love my short cut kaya with you because I just love to eat but I also love to make..... thus i make my own short cut kaya!


This is what I had for breakfast. Kaya loaded toasted homemade sourdough slice. Sinfully good.


RECIPE as follow

taken from Yin's Homemade

  1. 4 eggs – (approximate 200ml)

  2. 200ml coconut cream/milk (i used packet coconut milk)

  3. 225g sugar (i replace half with gula melaka )

  4. 3 Pandan leaves (tie knots) (i was too lazy to cut from garden)

  5. Egg (weight) ratio to coconut milk (weight) and sugar – 1:1 :1.125


here's what i did with steps:

1) melt sugar with 1 tablespoon of water slowly in microwave for lke 10 seconds burst.

2)whipped up the eggs (well whipped)

3)add coconut milk into sugar microwave till all sugar well melted.

4)slowly add egg into coconut milk while mixing non stop we "do not want to make coconut egg soup" in the coconut milk

5) once all well mixed nicely, put into microwave and burst 20 seconds intervals and whip every intervals.

6) keep doing this till the consistency you love or prefer. do take note that it'll get thicken a little bit more once its cool down too... just very little.. so best to micro till the thickness you like.
