2021 CHINESE NEW YEAR I did sugar cookies decoration for giveaway since there won't be much visiting due to the PANDEMIC COVID-19.

Start with prebake the sugar cookies
(click for recipe) a day ahead.
Next have all your design plan out and practice drawing.... i used edible pen.
Save you lots of time.
(you can trace if you do not have confidence to draw)
Trace or draw on cookies.
Prepare Royal Icing (recipe source from Sally's Baking Addiction)
Ingredients
4 cups (480g) confectioners’ sugar, sifted (powder sugar)
3 Tablespoons meringue powder (not plain egg white powder)
9–10 Tablespoons room temperature water
optional for decorating: gel food coloring
Instructions
Watch the video of the icing above so you get an idea of what the final consistency should be.
In a large bowl using a hand mixer or a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment, beat all of the icing ingredients together on high speed for 1.5 – 2 minutes. When lifting the whisk up off the icing, the icing should drizzle down and smooth out within 5-10 seconds. If it’s too thick, add a little more water. (On particularly dry days, I use up to 12-14 Tablespoons water total.) If it’s too thin, add a little more sifted confectioners’ sugar.
Icing completely dries in about 2 hours at room temperature. If you’re layering royal icing onto cookies for specific designs and need it to set quickly, place cookies in the refrigerator to help speed it up. See blog post above for make-ahead and freezing instructions.
once you have the royal icing ready, then you split them into number of colours needed. Put them into disposable piping bags separately.

Never fill colours immediately next to each other. Do let make sure there's gab between thus it'll let the colour dry for a while and has a film so it won't leak to each other!
MAKE sure to let it dry for AT LEAST 24 hours before pack them up!
